City of Beaumont Collection System Optimization Engineer
Collection system optimization involved building collection system model in Info Works Integrated Catchment Model (ICM), assessing the storage potential of the existing collection pipes, manholes, and lift stations, evaluating alternative operating schemes to maximize available storage, and identifying additional storage needs within the collection system. The engineering study was intended to minimize capital needed by maximizing the storage and redundancy within the sewer infrastructure. Project Engineer Info Works ICM Modeling evaluated impact of various dry-wet weather flows. Alternative pump operating schemes, were input into the model to maximize available storage, and identify additional storage needs within collection system.
