Insurance Contract Recruitment Consultant @ I sit within the insurance contract team, predominantly recruiting for Aviva, Legal & General, LGIM and Towergate. Within the team I focus on IT, Actuarial, Risk, Assurance and Compliance roles but also cover Change/Trasformation, Finance, Customer Service and Procurement roles.

After being with the company for a couple of months dealing with a high volume of exception accounts which weren't billing correctly, I had built up an extensive knowledge of the systems. Instead of handing off complex accounts to the complex plausibilty team, I would work them myself and create new process flows for my colleagues while doing so. My line manager and operations manager soon noticed my hard work and I was offered a job on the complex plausibility team along with some people who had worked for the company for between 3 and 15 years.
I was also able to justify and receive a pay increase over this period from NPR-C grade to NPR-A grade (2 levels). From May 2012 to August 2012 (4 months) NLHE/PLO Poker Croupier @ In this high pressure, fast paced environment I was expected to deal cards to players while using my arithmetic skills to ensure that bet sizes and pot sizes were correct within the regulations of game being played.
