About Daniel Chait
💼 Past Experience
I’ve worked in the software development field for more than 10 years now. I first got interested in software development when I was in college, when I met my future wife in person for the first time. Since then, I’ve slowly but surely built my experience and skills in the field, culminating in a position as a Senior Software Developer at Business Velocity, Inc. from April 1998 to April 2001. AtBusinessVelocity, I worked on a variety of projects, from developing online customer profiling tools for a large online checkout company, to developing a search engine for a small business. Overall, I held a variety of positions within the company, each with their own set of challenges and opportunities. Some of the projects I worked on at Business Velocity were particularly memorable. One project was our company’s first project as a software company. We worked on developing an online system to manage employee performance, and the project was actually a great success. It was a pretty challenging project, and it took a lot of hard work and dedication on the part of all of us at Business Velocity to make it a digital success. One of the things I’m really proud of from that project is that we were able to create a complete digital system that actually contributed to our company’s success.Another project that I enjoyed working on at Business Velocity was our company’s effort to improve employee satisfaction. We worked on a system to collect data about employee performance and satisfaction, and we were able to actually improve employee satisfaction across the board. We also managed to do a great job of tying employee satisfaction to various Employee Benefits Programs, which was a major step for us as a company.Overall, I think it was a great experience working at Business Velocity. It was a great opportunity to learn about and experience a lot of different software development projects. I would definitely recommend Business Velocity to others.CodeRocks - developing web based Danielle ChaitGreenhouse Software

💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills
That experience gave me a deep understanding of what it takes to be a great leader. Leaders connectors are essential to our success. We designed and built the connector software to create a powerful, integrated system that can compliment and help drive the flow of connectives.Since leaving my CEO job at Greenhouse Software, I've been a Technology & Producer at Simile Software, Inc. as Director of Professional Services. There, I was responsible for the development of the hiring software platform, bug fixing and code reviews, development of custom connectors, and support for the company's top customers. I alsoowned and operated the company's Web site. ago I was also a Developer at American Management Systems, Inc. for 1 year, until March 1997. I then moved to Woodbridge, Virginia to be a Cofounder at Lab49, a start-up that sells desperately needed software for small businesses. Lab49 was started by entrepreneurs who recognized the gaping hole in the startup market. They thought the only way to solve that problem was to create a software that helped businesses actually hire the best talent, through a complete suite of software, services, and a large partner ecosystem. There is no shame in admitting that being a founder is hard. But it's also really rewarding to see your startup achieve these incredible milestones - that is, to see your customers’ satisfaction skyrocketing, as they realize how much better their lives have improved as a result of using the products you created. What I've realized is that being a great leader takes a great deal of practice, both in terms of your own skills and in how you work with your team. You have to be strong onstage and in person, and you have to be able to connect with your team. You also have to have a great relationship with your employees, and be able to vigorously hold them accountable. But if you can do all of those things, and you can also build a nationally diverse team that can help youlead your company to great things, you are set for a long and successful career.
