I also provided 24/7 medical care for day and overnight campers. From June 2016 to August 2016 (3 months) Purchase, NYPrivate Practice Office Manager @ Physician Group As an office manager for a psychiatrist and a family practice physician, I ensure the smooth daily operation of the office and deal directly with patients. My responsibilities include scheduling, maintaining medical records, and patient intake. As a keen observer, both clinicians allow me access to their patient interviews as well as performing mental status, physical examinations, and recording medical histories. From March 2016 to June 2016 (4 months) Brooklyn, NYScribe Ambassador II @ PhysAssist Scribes, Inc As a Scribe Ambassador instructor and coach, I generated and presented seminars for biological science advisers, professors, and aspiring scribes. As this is a growing field with professional credentialing, my job offers opportunities to instruct and coach aspiring scribes. As well, I screen and interview potential scribe candidates. This work allows me to understand the core skills necessary for this work and how programs might better prepare scribes. Finally, I am an on-call scribe when my expertise is required. From March 2015 to December 2015 (10 months) New York/New Jersey AreaEmergency Medicine Scribe @ PhysAssist Scribes, Inc After working as an Emergency Medical Technician, my next goal was learning about ER patient care. As a medical scribe, I did this. I maintained patients electronic medical records (Sorian) while working intimately with physicians managing up to 25 patients during 10 hour plus shifts. The varied medical scenarios taught me to think quickly and diagnose accurately. The application of classwork to the field was invaluable. It was almost battle field training. Assessing vital signs and treatment plans honed my medical skills. As well, I learned to coordinate efforts with Paramedics, Police and Fire departments for treatment plans for patients and transportation to medical facilities. In this work I demonstrated a real feel for triage medicine. From September 2013 to January 2014 (5 months) Yonkers, New YorkInterim Lab Manager @ Carnegie Mellon University As a college senior I had the honor to serve as co-interim manager of a lab that simultaneously managed three research projects. The primary project was a relationship research study focusing on participants in their later stages of adulthood. My successful management of the projects help them conclude on time and on budget. From April 2012 to July 2012 (4 months) Research Assistant @ Carnegie Mellon University After studying intimate relationships in Dr. Feeney’s psychology class, I developed an interest in relational studies in a lab setting. In my first research assistant position, I learned the basics of conducting an experiment: leading participants through an experiment, hooking them up to the physiological equipment and monitoring their progress in a control room, and paying participants for their time. As a result, I learned valuable interpersonal skills by working with a diverse clientele and reassuring the as they proceeded though the study. From May 2011 to July 2012 (1 year 3 months)
