Dana Schafer has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The Ohio State University. While at OSU, she was a sought after participant in Dance United with the Arts, a professional dance ensemble. Dance United with the Arts is a summer music and Rhythmic Arts program in OSU's Phelps Concert Hall. While in Dance United with the Arts, Dana often partner coached with seasoned professionals and auditioned for residencies and performances with dance companies. Dana's experiences in Dance United with the Arts gave her the opportunity to see dance as an artist and an educator. While in Dance United with the Arts, Dana also studied live music performance. Dana's study of live music performance allowed her to develop her musicianship and show off her dance skills. Thisallowed her to take her collegiate experience and apply it to her current job as a teacher.Dana Schafer currently teaches the music of Louis Armstrong and salsa at Ryan's Dance in Beavercreek, Ohio.
