Since joining the University of Michigan in fall of 2016 as a Professor, Neiswander has been working on a project focused on the assessment and development of gender-related competencies for lesbian, bisexual and transgender students. The project is a cooperative effort between the University of Michigan and the University of California, Davis. The goal of the project is to introduce lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students and their families to the concepts and content of the roll-out texters portal, which will help them understand and assess their gender-related competencies. In addition, the project will develop and test resources that will support the Development and Evaluation of Gender-Related Curriculum for Lesbian, Bisexual and TransgenderTeachers, and students.
