Dan began his career working above the line, for Leeds-based agency, Simpson’s, as copywriter to the Creative Director, Alan Simpson. After winning numerous wards for his work in Leeds, he was brought in by Archibald Ingall Stretton (ais...) to run the £15 million fully-integrated SEEBOARD Energy account (now EDF). He won numerous accolades for his work on SEEBOARD Energy, as well as on Skoda, BMW and O2. In 2003 Dan left AIS to start and head up the creative department at ELVIS with his then partner John Treacy. There he developed award-winning work and played a key part in significant business wins, including, Cadbury Trebor Basset, Subaru UK and Pizza Hut. After three successful years of large award wins, Dan left ELVIS, seeking global creative experience. Dan joined JWT in 2006 where he was the UK and Global creative lead across the integrated accounts of HSBC, Vodafone, Shell and Nokia. In addition, Dan lead on BSkyB, Pfizer and Deloitte. After four years at JWT, Dan re-joined Guy Bradbury at DDB London to support him as creative lead on the £80 million Virgin Media account. Dan first worked with Guy at RMG (now JWT). At DDB they produced the most successful campaigns Virgin Media had done to date. In early 2012 Dan joined RAPP to continue his work as Creative Director on Virgin Media, after it left DDB. His work included Virgin Media's most successful mobile phone campaign to date. He was also creative lead on Virgin Atlantic, Barclays, Google and Open University. In 2013 Dan joined Geometry Global to lead the GSK Business. Through a multi-channelled approach to the work, he helped to create a massive increase in interest/demand for the products. With a newly established level of trust, he was able to open the door to more GSK brands and push them up the creative scale. In February 2014, he won the Heineken business and was appointed as Creative Director on the account.
