I've probably written four or five of these summaries since I joined LinkedIn, and they've ranged from the overly formal to, most recently, absurdly glib.
So, this time, I'll just try to keep it simple.
The essence of my career can be boiled down to two things: variety and building. I'm a tinkerer and a serial entrepreneur. I like to make things, try things, work with new people, and throw myself in everything I do. I've done everything from video game development to, most recently, selling LED light bulbs. I've been at more start-ups than I care to remember, but I've also worked for huge companies and brands.
The key to it all though has been "doing," whether that means figuring out how to design the flight physics of a flying saucer, launching online banking before there was such a thing, bringing a revenue mentality to a philanthropy, starting a company or figuring out how to make a $30 light bulb purchase compelling.
eCommerce, User Experience, Product Design & Management, Marketing, Customer Acquisition and Online anything. That's me in a rather large nutshell.
