I am a Mechanical Designer who has worked on a lot of construction projects in the past. I've been working on virtual design and construction (VDC) for a while now and it's been a great experience. With VDC, you can create a 3D model of a building, which you then can use to design and construction the building. You can also use BIM to help with the construction process. I've been working at Leopardo Companies for 4 years now and I've had a lot of experience with VDC and BIM. I work with the project team to create information- rich computer models that contain valuable information about the building’s constructability, system costs, material supply chains, energy performance, as well as subcontractor logistics. I also work with the construction technologists to create models that are tailored to the project goals and expectations. Out of all the skills I've learned, BIM is by far the most important. With BIM, you can create a model of a building that is suitable for construction. I also have experience with Revit MEP and AutoCAD. I have successfully led a BIM implementation in all regions within 12 months, leading to a 15% increase in production efficiency for projects using Revit MEP. I also have experience with Collabration, Leadership, and Training.
