Curt Allen has aBackground in Political Science and Government from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1995. After completing his undergraduate studies, Curt moved on to attend the School of Managment at the University of Massachusetts Boston where he earned his Masters of Science in 1997.Curt has spent the past 3.74 years as a professional political scientist and government consultant. Clients have included the City of Boston, the Republican National Committee, the Bay State Broadcasters Association, and many more.Curt’s professional experience has taught him how to ask difficult questions and listen to others to learn as much as possible about their ideas and thoughts. This is important for coming up with sound policy ideas and ultimately governing a community or nation. Curt has an innate ability to see the big picture and see what needs to be done to achieve success, something that has come in handy during his professional career.Curt is currently a professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he is a professor of political science and government. He has also been a visiting professor at the University of California at Berkeley, King’s College London, and York University.Since his return to Amherst, Curt has been working on a new book manuscript called The Tidal Wave of Politics: How Politics Is Harnessing Technology to Change the World. This book is rooted in the idea that politics is being shaped by the use of technology, specifically the rise of social media and the way in which it can be used to attack, denounced, and reward politicians. Curt hopes to bring this idea to light and help make it a more mainstream topic.Curt has a great work readiness because he is passionate about his work and has a lot of experience in the field. Curt believes that good political scientists are able to take in data and analyze it in a way that allows them to see patterns and trends.
