💼 Past Experience

After studying at Drake University and Cox Law School, Corey started his own practice in 1988. He was an Associate Attorney with Herrick, Feinstein LLP from 1988-01-01 to 1991-11-01 . From there he went on to start his own law firm, Kupfer & Associates, PLLC in 1991-11-01 . In 2013, he left his law firm and founded DealQuest, which has become a top player in the business world. In addition to DealQuest, Corey is also the author of Authentic Negotiating, a TedX Talk where he discusses how to better navigate difficult negotiations. In 2016 he was also the President - New York Chapter at Entrepreneurs' Organization. Corey has also been a speaker at various business conferences, most notably the TedX Conference on Negotiation in 2015. He lives in New York City.

Corey Kupfer has a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from Stony Brook University. He also has experience as a Political Science/Business teacher. Corey has taught in New York City and Brooklyn, NY. Corey Kupfer has worked as an attorney since 1982. As an attorney, he has helped clients with legal challenges to government policies and operations, including as a law clerk for the Hon. John A. Edwards, Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit from 1983 to 1985. Corey also served on the board of directors for Peddle v. Wright, a 1986 case involving the administration of the New York City Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.Since 2009, Corey has been the Director of the Courtship and Engagement Initiative at the Edwin T. Kennedy Center for Human Rights in Manhattan. The Carrabos Center for Courtship and Engagement is a world-renowned think tank that supersedes the traditional academic ceremony of marriage. It is charged with advancing understanding of the challenges and opportunities of dating, dating Violence Against Women, and court reform.Corey Kupfer has a keen legal understanding and a working knowledge of the law. His experience with complex legal challenges and his ability to communicate effectively with clients have placed him in a unique position to provide court reform andcourt history education to a wide audience.
