💼 Past Experience

Byzantium set up its’ first carpet factory in 1878. In 1892, the first self- Publishing house in Bucharest was founded. In 1904 The Factory of Carpet Export, now Bucharest University Press printed a book “On the History of Weavers in the Capital of Romania” by Ion Antonescu. In 1907, a new carpet factory was opened in Gheorghe Dumitrescu’s Estate in Iași. In 1916, Constantin Tomescu became the Managing Director of the Bucharest University Carpet Factory. In 1928, he became the Managing Director of the Carpet Export Factory, now Bucharest University Press. In 1929-1937 he was the Chairman of the Bucharest University Carpet and Textile Industries Association. On 26th of February, 1938 Constantin Tomescu was elected president of the Romanian Central Authority for Printing and Presses. He served until his death on 12th of May, 1938. Constantin Tomescu’s outstanding achievements during his presidency include the erection of the Bucharest printing plant, the establishment of Bucharest as the Romanian capital and the realization of the plans for the construction of the new Bucharest University.

Prior to this, Constantin Tomescu was a Manager at a Commercial Real Estate Company. His previous experience includes working in Property Management, Asset Management and Lease Administration. Constantin Tomescu holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Real Estate from Vienna University of Economics. Constantin Tomescu is also apanic and he speaks fluent Spanish and English.
