💼 Past Experience

I am Coby Owens, age 24, who is currently a Legislative page at Delaware House of Representatives from June 2014 to July 2017 (3 years 2 months). I was born and raised in the Dover, Delaware Area and graduated from Delaware Valley College in May 2010 with a degree in Community Outreach Specialist. I then worked at Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center from June 2012 to June 2015 (3 years 1 month). I currently work at the Owens Foundation in Delaware as the National Constituency Coordinator for US Senator Kerri Evelyn Harris from February 2018 to September 2018 (8 months).My work experience with Youth Caucus of America, Inc. began in May 2010 as a Community Outreach Specialist. I was responsible for providing pre-school education and training for children in the Dover area. I also worked on a grant program that provided housing, food and training to adults in the Dover area who were struggling to keep themselves and their families out of poverty. I helped to create the firstever hunger-free weekend in Delaware and was also responsible for working on the largest hunger reduction campaign in Delaware history. We also worked on providing safe haven to street traffickers and helping adults who had been victims of sexual assault.My most recent experience as the CEO of Youth Caucus of America, Inc. began in July 2017. I was responsible for developing and implementing the youth empowerment program at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center. We combatted crime andWorks to provide access to the proper help needed on issues that stem from drug and alcohol abuse. We also researched PEPFAR, the United States Government’s regional drug control initiative, and put together a plan to provide food and shelter to families that have lost their homes to drug and alcohol abuse. We also created and delivered a presentation to area schools, senior centers, community groups and other agencies about how to receive the proper help needed on issues that stem from drug and alcohol abuse.

Coby Owens is a West Virginia University graduate who studied Forensic Science and Technology. Coby was well-suited for the field of Forensic Science as she has a track record of having excelled in classes and putting her theories into practice. She first investigated crimes and then later prosecuted them.Born and raised in the United States, Coby Owens has Timeline of Life and Education. When she was younger, she enjoyed playing the violin and the piano. Coby started taking classes in Salesianum School where she majored in environmental science.
