I have gained knowledge related to mobility networks (RAN), network design, layer 2 and layer 3 troubleshooting and configuration of routers, switches, Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewalls. My day to day tasks include configuring L3 switches, propagating VLANS to maintain an updated infrastructure, allowing traffic flow by modifying firewall rules in CISCO ASA and Checkpoint devices, associating new devices with the monitoring tools such as TACACS, Cisco Works, Netview and Vitalnet. Also offering support by troubleshooting tickets as they arise to enable the client to access the infrastructure in the data center. The main issues include end to end server reachability, investigating bottlenecks in the traffic, routing issues , traffic blocked by firewall , helping the client to find the physical location of servers , troubleshooting unsuccessful backups and investigating changes in the network generated by the snmp traps. The technologies in scope; • Routers (Cisco ISR 18xx and 28xx series, Cisco 7600. Cisco 3xxx series) • Switches and multilayer switches (IBM rack switch, variety of Cisco Catalyst devices – C2960, C3750, C3550, C4700, C4500, C6500, Cisco Nexus devices 7010, 55xx, 2xxx, Cisco Blade switches chassis) • Content switches (loadbalancers) – Cisco CSS 11501 (appliances), Cisco ACE (appliances and Catalyst 6500 modules), Radware AppDirector, Radware AppXcel • Firewalls – Cisco PIX, ASA, ASA-X (appliances and virtual contexts), Check Point (IPSO and Gaia), Juniper networks (SRX5800, ISG2000) – including VPN management • Wireless devices – Cisco WLCs (4400, 5509), Cisco Aironet LWAPs and standalone APs • DNS services – based on UNIX bind daemon (linux and AIX servers) and web interface of national register company • VoIP services – Cisco CUCM (8.6) and Avaya • DHCP services – on firewalls and routers • IPAM – fill database on Infoblox machine for Fiat for IPAM (IP Address Management) From January 2014 to May 2015 (1 year 5 months) District Brno-City, Czech RepublicMobility Network Specialist @ Network mobility specialist focused on performing software upgrades on the 3G and 4G Radio Access network. Main duties were applying patches, full software upgrades of eNodeB , NodeB , performing software checks using UNIX tools before launching the upgrade as well as troubleshooting of the incoming alarms generated by the new update. For issues that could not be solved by second level support was engaged. -Doing pre-checks testing the device to ensure it's ready for upgrade and postchecks to make sure the device is running properly -Changing parameters in eNodeBs through the UNIX based 5620 SAM -Patching and troubleshooting the RNCs and NodeBs using the Citrix XenApp platform , WMS tools -Escalating cases and make sure they have a resolution. -Applying work orders as a part of the software upgrade for the RAN (3G and LTE) as instructed in the procedure From September 2012 to December 2013 (1 year 4 months) ADSL | VDSL - 3G Technical Helpdesk @ Customer technical support specialist that offered assistance to Telekom clients in setting up their internet connectivity. Daily support was modem configuration for new clients within our ADSL/VDSL network, remote troubleshooting in client PC, setting up Outlook configurations and basic support for webhosting services offered by Telekom, CDMA modem installation and troubleshooting errors connectivity , IPTV set up by configuring additional ports in the main modem. As part of outbound /back office support the main activities involved deeper investigation of client reachability to Telekom services. Most common issues were strong high security policies on the software firewall of the client’s PC, faulty NIC cards, modems who lost configurations and wrong browser settings.
