My passion is ensuring the security and stability of customer web applications and services, both on premises and in the cloud.
After over a decade focused on every angle of security for web applications from support and troubleshooting through to architecture, and development I am now convinced the best path to security and stability is through rigorous deployment automation of both infrastructure and application components.
Keeping in line with the industry, my focus the last several years has moved to include security for web services and the cloud and I'd love to share expertise and best practices with others working in this sector.
Previously I spentfive years as a freelance consultant assisting the Identity and Access Management group for a classified Government E-commerce Infrastructure.

Strong background with security architectures imbedding CA (formerly Netegrity) SiteMinder and TransactionMinder. Web Service security incorporating IBM Datapower XML Gateways. Knowledge of web applications from both a development (Perl, Ruby, Java) and low-level transactional (HTML/DHTML, XML, SSL, TCP/IP) perspective. Big picture thinking via architectural consultation and training presentations. Team management and reporting. Presentation of technical issues to non-technical audiences.
