Deputy Program Director @ The Centralized Alabama Recipient Eligibility System (CARES) is Alabama’s approach to the modernization of the enrollment and eligibility systems for Medicaid, Child Health Insurance Program, Food Assistance, TANF and Subsidized Child Care. Through this system, citizens will be linked with critical, life-saving services in an efficient, user-centric interface. From 2014 to Present (1 year) Montgomery, ALProject Manager @ Provide enterprise architecture support, development and technical management for multiple, concurrent eGovernment projects for the Department of Human Resources and the Department of Public Health.
Designed, Architected and managed the development of a declarative workflow management system and common rules engine to support citizen/government interactions.
Develop strategic initiatives that align with the overall center strategic plan to ensure steady and purposeful growth. In the past 3 years, the team has grown from a single project to over 9 completed projects and 3 current projects totaling approximately 1.45 million dollars in research expenditures. From March 2009 to July 2014 (5 years 5 months) Tuscaloosa, Alabama AreaSenior Software Specialist @ Facilitated the management and implementation of an enterprise level electronic medical records system that supported a geographically diverse system of long term care facilities with over 5,000 patients and 1,000 nurses, doctors and office staff.
Envisioned, designed and built an advanced decision support system that provided near-real-time analysis of patient health, nurse performance and census management.
Developed a system that used advanced data warehousing techniques to support facility nutrition specialist in visualizing patient dietary health in unique ways. This system saved significant time and effort by reducing the time it took dietary specialists to complete patient reviews. From March 2007 to March 2009 (2 years 1 month) Senior Mental Health Technician @ Supervised a team of mental health technicians to manage the milieu, enforce unit rules and ensure patient safety for an 18 bed in-patient psychiatric treatment unit.

Implemented an advanced “self-healing” algorithm that was able to automatically resolve a variety of water and waste water plant systems failures by detecting a failure, diagnosing the problem and using an expert system to resolve the issue.
