Metro AreaSr. Human Resources Manager @ Partnered with the Vice President for Human Resources and Administration to transform the corporate HR function from a localized group to a strategic global resource for colleagues worldwide.
Partnered with the VP, HR and Admin to develop a global compensation program; composed of 13 different structures (twelve for Africa, one for the United States.)
Introduced and institutionalized a harmonized performance management system across the US and Africa, which transitioned the Foundation from an inconsistent, paper-based approach to a unified, automated approach, with global participation rates of more than 90%.
Launched a global Learning & Development function and eLearning platform to build staff capacity through determined learning paths, blended learning programs, and facilitated training.
Partnered with senior leadership to manage global reductions in force and office closures due to project completion and termination of funding.
Managed the search for a new benefits broker, which resulted in a more competitive employee benefit program and significant cost savings in annual provider premiums. From May 2008 to March 2012 (3 years 11 months) Washington D.C. Metro AreaSr. Human Resources Generalist @ Recruitment:
• Conducted full life-cycle recruiting for exempt, non-exempt and management level positions.
• Partnered with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and determine departmental staffing needs.
• Managed immigration process, including filing H-IB, J-I and Permanent Residency visas.
• Managed relocation for new hires, both domestic and international.
• Managed applicant tracking system, trained hiring managers on use of system, managed vendor relationship, created and updated data.
• Trained employees on appropriate interviewing practices.
Benefits & Compensation:
• Conducted salary analyses to determine competitive and equitable compensation levels for offers of employment, employee promotions and salary adjustments. Recommended new and modified salary ranges.
• Planned and implemented first Employee Wellness Fair.
• Designed and disseminated employee total compensation statements.
• Acted as resource for employee’s benefits’ questions.
Performance Management:
• Coached, counseled and educated managers and employees on various issues, including progressive discipline and career development.
• Worked with HR staff to design, implement and manage a new automated employee performance tool. From February 2003 to May 2008 (5 years 4 months) Training/Recruiting Coordinator @ • Supported up to six HR Generalists in their day-to-day responsibilities.
• Scheduled all internal and external candidates and guided them through the interview process.
• Coordinated and facilitated monthly week long orientation program for new employees.
• Worked with the Training Manager to implement “Forrester Helping Hands”, a community outreach program. Organized and participated in quarterly volunteer events. From August 1999 to September 2001 (2 years 2 months)
