Born and raised in the northeast United States, Chris Jorgensen originally pursued a career in engineering. After earning a degree in civil engineering from the University of Maine in 1994, Chris started his career in sales and marketing at GE Aviation in Richmond, VA. During his nine months at GE, Chris developed a software program for the e-IT portal program at GE. He then moved on to the role ofdirector, e-Commerce Operations at GE. After two years in this role, he moved on to the role of program manager and Six Sigma Black Belt, eCommerce Operations at GE. During his time at GE, he also worked on the organization advisor for Boeing and the industrial engineer for Boeing. In 1998, he left GE to become an organization advisor at Boeing. From there, he moved on to Siemens where he worked for two years as theVP Operations Development at Siemens before moving on to the role of director, Operations Technology at Genworth. At Genworth, he was responsible for the development of the che airborne entertainment system and the implementation of the company’s new productivity software. He also held the position of marketing consultant for Bang & Olufsen, a Danish small business. While atGenworth, Chris was also the head of the marketing group for the company’s North American product development. In November 2005, he moved on to the role of director, Career Sales and Marketing IT at Genworth. There, he developed and implemented a program to increase sales for the company’s innovative new product lines. He did this by leading the charge for the company to increase product marketing spending by 50% and increasing consumer loyalty by 5%. While at Genworth, Chris was also the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.After eight years at Genworth, Chris moved on to the role of marketing consultant at Siemens. He worked at the company for two years as theVP Operations Development and, in July 2010, he took the role of director, Operations Technology. There, he was responsible for developing and implementing the che airborne entertainment system and the implementation of the company’s new productivity software. While at Siemens, he also held the position of marketing consultant for Bang & Olufsen, a Danish small business.
