I’ve spent my entire professional career working in the software and technology world. During this time I’ve founded 3 companies, two have been acquired, built dozens of software products and enterprise web applications, and led a business unit at public company. I believe that in order for companies to stay relevant in today’s world they have to push product innovation faster and harder than ever before – this means taking risks.

This includes sales, marketing and operations.
Modulus is a premier Node.js hosting platform that provides a complete technology stack for application developers. This includes custom SSL, WebSockets, MongoDB, statistics, and more.
Modulus was acquired by Progress Software in June of 2014. From March 2012 to May 2014 (2 years 3 months) Cincinnati AreaNode.js & MongoBD Instructor | Xavier University Partner @ Partnered with 2 other Cincinnati startup executives to create a company to provide Node.js and MongoDB development educational classes. We partnered with Xavier University to teach classes on campus in a 10-week format. The classes included teaching students everything they need to build a full web application using the technologies.
The class was project based with outside companies sponsoring the projects worked on. In the first class we had projects from a number of great Cincinnati companies including, Repp, Cintrifuse and The Brandery.
Modulus was acquired by Progress Software in 2014. From July 2012 to October 2012 (4 months) Interactive Technologist @ I worked as a interactive technologist at Hyperquake where I solved technical problems for a range of clients. I handled building applications for multiple Fortune 500 companies. I expanded my experience in a number of technologies including Node.js, .Net, PHP, and more.

Through consumer understanding, intelligent design, and creative technology we identify market opportunities, create dynamic strategies, realize ambitious aspirations and create disruptive ideas, whether they're incremental pulses or seismic shifts. From January 2009 to June 2012 (3 years 6 months) MBA Student @ Worked on my MBA. From January 2008 to January 2009 (1 year 1 month) Consultant @ I worked as a Flex and .Net consultant solving hard software problems for large companies. While working there I built applications for some of the biggest businesses in the world including General Electric (GE) and Proctor & Gamble (P&G). From June 2007 to January 2009 (1 year 8 months) Co-op @ I work in the IT division that supports Terminal, Transportation, and Marine locations. Co-coordinated installing and setting up networked printers at 60+ terminals. From March 2006 to August 2006 (6 months) Research Assistant @ I worked with professor and another student on developing a system to do face recognition. The technique we were working on is taking images of people as they walk through metal detector and using these images to create a 3D model of their face. I designed a electronic trigger that would notify the computer to take the pictures from our 4 cameras. Also worked on software to find someones face and figure out which face is closest. We were then going to take the 4 images and use computer vision techniques to recreate a 3D model of the face. From June 2005 to August 2005 (3 months) Co-op @ I worked in the Robinson refinery and took care of day to day IT Support. But mainly I designed and developed a application which saves the company countless man-months a years and is now being used at almost all of their refineries. From December 2004 to March 2005 (4 months) Co-op @ I was a IT co-op where I wrote web applications, worked on their main frame, and worked with multiple other technologies. From March 2004 to June 2004 (4 months) Airflow Technician @ I mainly worked with building airflow machines. Also I worked with developing test equipment to test the PCBs for the airflow machines. Work on development of the worlds smallest airflow machine. Worked with clients from various aerospace companies. From June 1997 to August 2003 (6 years 3 months)
