Software Engineer @ From January 2012 to Present (3 years 11 months) Software Engineer @ Worked on developer tools revolving around source control, code review, and other parts of the software development process. * Subversion Client wrapper - Redesigned and developed a Python Subversion client wrapper that helped engineers with the development process at LinkedIn. Integrated code review with a subcommand that opened a review request on Reviewboard with the user's working copy diff attached. Developed branching convenience functions ('rebase', 'promote') that made feature/release branch merging easy for engineers. Tied in the code ownership server to allow engineers to see who needed to review their code. * Code ownership server - Maintained and optimized design of the code ownership server, which checks a version controlled set of access control lists on regex patterns to see what sections of code must be reviewed by whom to pass a pre-commit check. * Subversion administration - Repository design and organization - using external links, test repositories, etc. Pre and post commit hooks in Python. General support with merging and client issues for developers. Notifier services that emailed developers/code owners when specified code changed in source control.
