This is a team of Quality Assurance auditors (located in both the US and Brazil) who audit GLP studies for compliance with 40CFR Part 160 and OECD GLP regulations. These studies are conducted in support of new or existing product registrations. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the GLP archives, managing budgets, resource planning, and all aspects of performance management for the team members.

From January 2012 to Present (4 years) Indianapolis, Indiana AreaSenior Microbiologist @ During my time in this role, I performed strain selection using both classical strain selection techniques and molecular biology. I also conducted small-scale fermentation research in support of strain selection. I led a Six Sigma project to improve the performance of our small-scale fermentation platforms. Additionally, I championed a microbiological quality control program for our R&D facility. This included the implementation of environmental monitoring capabilities as well as bacterial identification, endotoxin testing, and training modules. For quality control of research samples being tested in animals, I implemented microbial tests to comply with 9CFR Part 113.25 and 113.26. As the Group Leader of the Cell Bank, I successfully led the initiative to build and implement a quality management system to achieve cGMP compliance. This involved performing an initial gap analysis followed by the development and implementation of several work procedures, a formal document management system, and quality tests following the ICH Q7 and Q5D guidances. I had oversight for the growth, preservation, and maintenance of the strain collection supporting both R&D and manufacturing. From January 1999 to January 2012 (13 years 1 month) Microbiology Contract Research Assistant @ During this assignment at Dow AgroSciences, I isolated, identified, and preserved unusual Actinomycetes from soil samples.
