I am an experienced software test engineer/software engineer who has been supporting government customers for more than thirteen years. My experience includes developing automated tests for a government customer using Selenium WebDriver, and creating, running and analyzing performance tests, using IBM Rational Performance Tester. Additionally, I have experience developing web applications for government customers using Java, XML,
Specialties: Java, HTML, CSS, XML, Lotus Notes/Domino (Java Toolkit in particular)
As part of another team, I was responsible for managing a staff of developers, engineers and administrators. I ensured that they adhered to company policies regarding time keeping and reporting and handled their performance evaluations. I also served as the Deputy Project Manager for the overall team of 44. In addition to her management duties, I provided Lotus Notes development support to a wide variety of customers with varying needs. I was responsible for meeting with the customer to determine requirements, producing an application to meet those requirements, keeping the customer informed of the status of the request, testing the application to ensure that no issues were present, and overseeing deployment of the application to an acceptable location within the customer’s network.
As part of a development team of 2, I provided enhancements to a database that tracked server information about most servers in use at the customer’s site. I also provided backup support for a workflow application designed to track changes to a server's baseline. From 2001 to 2007 (6 years) Software Developer @ Working as a member of a development team of 5, I assisted the client with upgrading a vouchering system (contained in a set of Lotus Notes Databases and linked to the customer’s mainframe financial system) from Lotus Notes version R4 to Lotus Notes Version R5. I participated in requirements gathering sessions by meeting with the customer and produced documentation for those requirements. I also ensured that the application was Section 508 compliant. Additionally, I assisted the team in upgrading the application to automatically process financial transactions while pulling a statistically significant sample of the transactions for manual review. The team received an exceptional performance award for their work on this project.
For another government client, I designed, developed and deployed a Lotus Notes application for tracking calls to a software help desk. This project involved meeting with the customer to gather requirements and then implementing those requirements in the database’s design.
In addition, I assisted in the implementation of a suite of Lotus Notes Databases known as Project In A Box. These databases, designed to assist in project management functions, required customization to meet the specific needs of the project. After meeting with the management team to determine the exact requirements, I completed the customizations. From June 1999 to June 2001 (2 years 1 month)
