Senior executive serving as strategic partner to the CEO. Tasked with improving the quality of decisions and ensuring that chosen strategies and decisions delivered highest financial value at acceptable levels of risk. Responsible for board and investor relations, finance, accounting, budgeting, treasury and human resources. Partnered with CEO and board to restructure the company in 4 complex transactions including raising institutional equity, subordinated debt and bank debt totaling $44mm. Increased profitability 100% by collaborating with department heads to restructure major IT contracts and outsourced relationships, reducing other major expenses and interest expense reduction. From March 2012 to June 2012 (4 months) Menlo Park, CAPrincipal - Fundraising and Client Service @ I was originally hired by Pantheon to run North American Client Service ($10 billion in assets). Due to the changing needs of the business, I was asked to combine and transform our US Marketing and Client Service groups into a single, integrated team with full fundraising responsibility. Post combination, I raised $250 million for our Secondaries fund which we marketed during the 2009/2010 period when fundraising overall for private equity was at a cyclical low. I continue to fundraise - mostly various fund of fund offerings including an Asia fund of funds and funds for both US and Europe as well. From 2008 to 2011 (3 years) San Francisco Bay AreaManaging Director and CFO @ I was the Chief Financial Officer for a $2 billion private equity firm. After my long tenure in investment banking, I put my knowledge of financial markets and success in managing client relationships to work at this leveraged buyout firm. I was responsible for all aspects of the firm not related to investing. My responsibilities included financial reporting, finance, tax, LP relations and marketing and I managed a 6 person team to accomplish these responsibilities. While at the firm, we separated from our founding investor. To create the identity of the new firm, we selected a new name and developed a public relations strategy and a marketing strategy. I also developed a transition plan and managed the spin-off including restructuring the management companies and to support the new ownership.
