I have started my carrier in IT as a computer science teacher at a high school in Bucharest while I was in my third year at the University of Bucharest. Since then I have worked in a lot of fields in IT, like network and system administrator, web developer, integration developer, implementation engineer, support engineer, business analyst, architect, but mostly I was a Java developer.
Four years ago I went to my manager and told her I am ready to take more responsibilities and new challenges as a team lead and since then I have successfully led multiple development and support teams, constantly learning and growing, every step of the way, both form studying whenever I had some spare time and also the hard way, but mostly from the people I worked with.
I am the king of guy that sits down with the team when there are problems until everybody understands them and then drive the team to the best possible solution in that situation, but also the guys that sits among the team when is time to celebrate the team's success.
I like to be in sync with the current technology, both software and hardware, so I keep an eye on what's happening in the world of Java development and tools.

From 2012 to June 2015 (3 years) Bucharest, RomaniaProject Team Lead @ During my time as a Project Team Lead I had the chance to lead multiple SOA projects projects for the biggest telco provider in Romania. These projects were mostly implementing new features on top of existing projects, which made the task, for me and the team, more challenging the usual.
Besides playing the role of team lead I was also very involved in all the phases of the projects - business analysis, planning, architecture, implementation, testing and support where I was in close contact with the customer (to understand and discuss their business needs, on one hand and validate the proposed solution once the design was done, on the other hand), with the project management team (to plan and estimate all the phases of the project), with the architects (to design both the software and hardware components), with the integration developers (to helped with the development of the new features), with the test team (playing the role of test lead and making sure everything is covered) and support team (as a support lead to make sure issues found in production were addressed according to the SLAs in place).
As a lead I had to drive the team to make sure we were on track, report regularly on the progress, be in constant contact with the customer to address any issues that appeared.
