Big Blue has been primarily managing inventory on paper and in Excel documents due to the complexities and inconsistencies in efficiently managing a diverse, graded and regraded, perishable, product of which they are moving hundreds of thousands of pounds each week. Big Blue contracted me to develop a smart, web-based, live inventory-management system (BlueBase) that could be accessed simultaneously by offices and warehouses across the country. My responsibilities towards the ongoing development of this product include: Gathering BlueBase business requirements from various client teams; architecting, planning, outlining, and wireframing BlueBase; directing BlueBase's development and UI design; quality assurance and stress testing of the app. From October 2012 to February 2014 (1 year 5 months) Lead User Experience Designer (Consultant) @ Responsibilities included: UX consultation, planning, and design of complex, web-based e-commerce, editorial, and social network websites for both startup and established clients; wireframing and UI design; information architecture and site outlining; competitive analysis; business and user process flows and documentation; client presentation, interface, and collaboration.
