đź’Ľ Past Experience
Bruce Vaughn's work experience with virtual reality:In the year 2007, Bruce Vaughn was the CEO of Dreamscape Immersive, a virtual reality company. virtual reality is a technology that allows users to experience virtual worlds through a computer screen. Virtual reality has the ability to revolutionize the entertainment industry by creating 3-D experiences that can be enjoyed by everyone. It was created by Dr. Richard Wimmer and Dr. Douglas Peake, both University of Sussex professors.Virtual reality technology is still in its early stages and is not as widely used as it could be. However, Dreamscape Immersive is one of the first companies to use it in a major way. This year, they created a virtual reality experience called “The Modeler.” This experience was designed to allow people to forget they are sitting in a chair and to experience the world around them without any distractions. The Modeler is a three-dimensional world that is able to be explored at any time. You can move around the room, swim in the pool, climb the walls, and more. The experience is very realistic and allows you to earn achievements as you explore the world. VR technology is not just for gaming or movies. It can also be used for training and education. For example, primary schools and universities can use it to teach English and to learn about historical events. The Modeler is also perfect for meditation and for relaying information through voice communication.Bruce Vaughn's work experiences with motion picture Tie-In software:Bruce Vaughn was the VP of Research and Development at Walt Disney Animation Studios from August 1993 to August 2002. He also worked at The Walt Disney Company as the CEO of Walt Disney Imagineering. At Walt Disney Animation Studios, Bruce Vaughn led the development of innovative motion picture tie-in software. This software helps create unique experiences for moviegoers, by allowing them to interact with both the production and the story behind the film. This software is used to create virtual reality headsets and to develop scout schedules, monitors, and more.Bruce Vaughn also worked on the technical staff of Bran Ferren's company, Associates & Ferren, in East Hampton, New York for five years. There, he contributed to the development and execution of special effects for various media projects. In this time, he also received several screen credits for feature films, including: “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier,” “Stitchs Photo Phone,” and “Lucky the Dino.”Bruce Vaughn has a degree in English Literature and a minor in Art History from Colgate University. 🎓 Education
Bruce Vaughn's education has consisted of a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Colgate University. Prior to becoming a full-time writer and professor, Vaughn worked as a copy editor and proofreader at The Boston Globe from 1988-1990. During this time, he also took an unrelated course in Creative Writing from New York University.Bruce Vaughn has always had an interest in writing and professor John Gardner has always been one of his favorite professors. After completely enjoying the class and the discussion process, Vaughn was motivated to pursue a career in writing. He has often mentioned that the major step that he took in becoming a full-time writer was making the decision to focus on his own work and not worry about the ill-effectiveness of his earlier efforts.Bruce Vaughn has always been a steadily working professor. He has taughtwriting courses at Colgate University, New York University, and Boston University, and has also written several articles for various literary journals. He is currently a visiting professor at Kent State University and will be teaching a course on Writing for Publication in the spring of 2019.While Vaughan does have experience in other aspects of writing and teaching, his main focus has always been creating quality writing classes for his students. He continuously pushes his students to work on their writing skills and to grow as writers. In his previous classes, he has always encouraged students to write longer and more complex pieces than they had previously thought possible.Bruce Vaughn has been a critic and editor of books for over 12 years, including 9 years as an editor of a national journal. He has also been a judge for the John Podhoretz Award for Excellence in Writing and has won numerous awards in both writing and criticism.Bruce Vaughn poses a unique challenge for any teaching or writing program. He provides a wealth of knowledge about writing and writing criticism, but also emphasizes the importance of student creativity and self-expression. Thisrants any one-size-fits-all approach to teaching writing, but it ultimately results in a more interactive and engaged learning environment for his students.
