My name is Brett Banfill, and I am currently working in the Technical Services department at Contract Glaziers Corp in Windsor Ontario, Canada. My main responsibilities are overseeing day to day engineering co-ordination with out-of-house engineering groups, performing thermal and structural analysis on curtain wall systems and other curtain wall related substructures, as well as performing field quality control and physical on site performance procedures such as ASTM E1105 and AAMA 501.2. I graduated from the University of Windsor in August of 2013 with a Bachelors of Applied Science degree (Concentration: Civil Engineering, Co-Op). While earning my degree, I also completed 5 semesters of co-operative education. My multiple semesters of placement at Contract Glaziers Corp, one being an extended 3 semester term, eventually led to part time employment while continuing my studies. Upon graduating, I accepted a full time job opportunity with the company. I have always been interested in the field of engineering and working with my skill set to accomplish my goals and solve unique problems. I would consider my strongest quality to be my creativity and problem solving ability. I enjoy learning new skills and consider each new experience and piece of knowledge as an addition to my mental tool box.
