Brenda Su is an economics and political science teacher who has also worked as a full-time student being a research intern at the D.C. think tank The Heritage Foundation.While studying at Charles University in Prague, Brenda Su came into contact with someone who would be the influence of her life. That person was the then-Governor of Czechoslovakia, Vaclav Havel. Su met Havel while she was a student at Charles University and he impressed her with his dedication to education and his support for democracy. In her spare time, she also studied under Havel's wife, Václava Thalia.After graduating from Charles University in 2005, Brenda Su worked as a visiting research associate in the United Kingdom at the Adam Smith Institute. From this position, she developed a number of research projects on topics related to business and economic policy.In 2007, Brenda Su made the move to the United States, where she became interested in teaching and working in a classroom setting. In 2013, she started teaching at the University of Southern California as an international relations graduate student.
