I am currently with Hospira - a global pharmaceutical company, running IT Infrastructure Service Delivery organization. I graduated Polytechnic University back in Ukraine and performed R&D work for 3 years in Kiev. I came to the United States in 1991 and after working for a few smaller IT companies, I joined IBM in 1996. I later consulted for Motorola and Ameritech in 1997 before finally coming back to Lucent in 1998 in an enterprise architect role. I assumed infrastructure engineering responsibilities in 2003 before moving into operational leadership role in 2005. I had a privilege of building the team from ground up and then extending it in 2007 after Alcatel/Lucent merger and continued managing the team after outsourcing to HP. As the team continued growing, certain tasks had to be delegated to my first-line managers. Nevertheless I stay quite engaged in all aspects of activities - both operational and engineering. In 2011 I after HP processes have been fully established and stabilized at Acatel-Lucent, I accepted the role of leading the effort of preparing hosting infrastructure in support of planned split of Kraft Foods. I successfully launched the program, defined roles, processes, assembled the team that launched a $19B company in 8 months. This was one of the most aggressive engagements that I ever worked and it took efforts of many people across the globe to assure flawless go-live on October 1, 2012. After two years of leading the HP team that provided infrastructure services for Kraft, I left HP and joined Hospira- a global pharma company where I took over infrastructure operations driving quality and service excellence I truly enjoy the scope and the impact of my work. I like the challenge and the pressure of operating a large enterprise environment. Delivering services, solutions and motivating people, while considering cultural differences and local specifics, along with laws and habits of various regions makes the job even more rewarding.
