There is nothing quite so remarkable as seeing a flash of inspiration grow and evolve into an industry. In my past executive positions at Microsoft and Yahoo!, I've taken great ideas to market many times over. But as GoDaddy CEO, I have the opportunity to help millions of others - artists, inventors and entrepreneurs - make their ideas real, and that's an incredible privilege and honor. For me this work is much more than just a job. My passion in life is in building killer tools and experiences for individuals and business at a global scale, and in the process, helping people find greater success and deeper meaning in their own lives. My life's work has been to transform the Web as we know it into an even more powerful resource for commerce, communications and understanding—and there's simply no better place (or people) on earth to do that than GoDaddy.
We have a huge vision at GoDaddy: to shift the entire world's economy in the direction of small business by giving entrepreneurs the tools and insights need to start, grow and thrive in their ventures. We're doing this by offering affordable cloud-based tools that are fine tuned for sole-proprietors and very small businesses—and by leveraging world-class machine learning and predictive analytics to help our customers make better business decisions.
When I’m not working or writing, I’m golfing, surfing, riding bikes (on the mountain or on the road), reading and spending time with my family. I split most of my time between Scottsdale, California’s Central Coast and the Bay Area, but find myself all over the world on a pretty regular basis. I consider living passionately a job requirement and don’t separate work and life into two contrasting initiatives. I do my best work when I’m most connected with my family and friends—and I am most connected when I’m deepest in my quest to build tech that can make life a little better for everyone.
