Blair McDuff began working as an Enterprise Account Executive at Crunchy Data in fall of 2016. As an Enterprise account executive, Blair manages and assesses customer needs and wants through an analysis of data gathered by Crunchy Data. She interacts with her clients to get their needs met and works collaboratively with peers and other departments within Crunchy Data to achieve business goals.fty year ago, I co-founded and currently lead the Open Source PostgreSQL project at Enterprise Scale. At the time of its founding, PostgreSQL was an extremely popular open source database project with billions of lines of code and growing. PostgreSQL had faced termination threats and a lot of controversy, but our community rallied to keep PostgreSQL alive.Our project today features over 20,000 contributors, and we’reContinuing to make PostgreSQL the best open source database project around.In my time at Open Source PostgreSQL, I’ve worked on a wide range of features, from disaster recovery to big data storage. I’ve also been responsible for many large deployments, including ones that handled over 5PB of data. My team has worked on a wide range of PostgreSQL projects, from development to production. In my time, I’ve learned a great deal aboutPostgreSQL, and I’ve viewed it as an important project in my life.Both as an individual and as a team, I’ve never felt more passionate about a project. I’ve always been a huge optimist and believe that anything is possible in the technology world, and PostgreSQL is just the beginning. The PostgreSQL project’s success has inspired me to become an even more effective Enterprise Account Executive. I’ve learned a lot about enterprise, postgreSQL, and Crunchy Data in the past year, and I’m excited to continue learning and helping contribute to PostgreSQL and the community.
