Benjamin Reynaert received his BFA and BARCH from The Rhode Island School of Design in 2005 and 2006. Upon graduating he worked in the bindery at Bloodroot Press in Ann Arbor MI and has since taught bookbinding, papermaking and book arts related workshops at a variety of universities, libraries and institutions in New York, Connecticut and southeastern Michigan.
Selected nationwide exhibitions include "Inventive Structures: Books Beyond the Codex" at the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, CT juried by Hedi Kyle and "The Young and the Restless" at the Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit.
Benjamin has pursued a passion for styling and market research in the editorial publishing field. In 2011 he joined the edit team at Traditional Home magazine, specializing in market trends, design and decorating.
book Benjamin Reynaert launched in 2011, a specialty Brooklyn-based studio and bindery producing hand-bound books, portfolios and boxes in addition to one-of-a-kind artist books, limited editions and bespoke volumes for occasions. Clients include The Rubin Museum, Flat Vernacular and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
In 2013 Benjamin joined the Style team at One Kings Lane and is melding a variety of creative experience into his own stylistic language while learning and maintaining brand identity at OKL.
