International Wine LLC is my new company. It is a wine importer specialising in natural wine and wine with minimal intervention. Primarily focussed on the North East of Italy but looking at building the portfolio with Portugal and Regional France. The company may be new, but it is not inexperienced. It brings together years of experience in the drinks industry. Buying and selling, importing and distributing, sales and marketing, all at the highest levels, are rolled into IW. We have a really clear mission: To work with great producers in Europe and to bring their wines to a discerning US public. We work with producers whose ethos reflects our own: to produce natural, minimal intervention wines that are true to their origins. These wines aren't 'difficult' just because they aren't fruit bombs. They aren't 'complex' just because they are not overpowered by new oak. No, the wines we import are just damned good! And we want to do good here too. We know that shipping made wine in glass bottles is not the most eco thing to do. We are busy calculating just how much of an environmental impact each bottle has through the supply chain and we will off-set that. But more importantly, we also believe that while it is important to enjoy and share great wines, for a lot of people, just getting some drinking water would be a start. So we have committed to giving 1% of our profits to Water Aid. This is a charity that we have supported for many years and now can do so properly. So, welcome to International Wine.
