After earning his doctorate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998, Butte focused his work on new medical technology. He was an associate professor of Health Sciences and Technology at MIT until 2004, and then took up a position at Harvard Medical School.Butte's research focuses on using artificial intelligence and machine learning to diagnose and treat diseases. His accolades include several prestigious awards and publications, and he is currently developing a new medical AI system that he hopes will revolutionize healthcare.
