In the time spent in the Software Industry I have had the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in largely different technologies including Java / Python / Android / JavaScript. Experience in these different areas has helped me develop a confidence that I can handle any challenges that I will face in the industry.
As a Graduate Technical Intern at PayPal I worked towards improving the experience of a user, when resolving an issue. This was done by redesigning the system and making the user go through a reduced number of steps (in case of similar restrictions) to gets his/her account back to normal standing.
In my capacity as a Software Engineer at Product Horizons, I had the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities. I had no prior knowledge about JavaScript or JSON and was put on a live project a part of which was to enable hierarchical restructuring using drag and drop and reflect these changes in the underlying JSON. This was to be done in a short span of time. I went through various tutorials on JavaScript and gained knowledge of the basics of JavaScript. I then built on this knowledge of JavaScript to successfully develop the drag and drop module.
In addition to this, I also had the opportunity to develop on the Android platform. The goal was to create an Android Tic-Tac-Toe application from scratch. Here too I had no knowledge about the android platform. Referring to the official documentation and with some help from colleagues I successfully developed the application.
I am a fast learner and an ambitious individual. I enjoy contributing in meaningful ways to solve problems at hand. This is evident from the above. I specialize and am keen to work in the Software Development field.
