San JoseDevOps Team Lead @ GE Responsibilities – As part of my duties as the senior DevOps engineer for the GE Solutions Teams:• I worked very closing with the development teams and the QA teams to gather build, testing, infrastructure and release requirements.• I architected a complete end-to-end CI/CD pipeline for deploying a variety of applications to Cloud Foundry (CF) environments (spaces) from dev. to prod.• I worked with the CF admins to debug and resolve deployment issues into CF.• I architected Jenkins Jobs and Bamboo plans to build the project source code, capture change lists, run unit tests, trigger Selenium/Protractor tests, run source code analysis, push binaries to various envs., create release notes, publish reports and send notifications. • I was also involved in researching new CI/CD & config. management tools available in the market. I have made recommendations and prepared POCs (Proof of Concepts) for the upper management to review.• I made sure that good SCRM policies and practices have been implemented and followed across all contributing IT teams. From September 2014 to October 2015 (1 year 2 months) San RamonSenior Build and Release Engineer @ Blue Shield of California Responsibilities – As part of my duties as the senior build and release engineer I was part of the SCRM Automation team. • I have configured Jenkins automated build & deployments jobs for Java, .Net, WMB, Informatica, BOR (Business Objects) and Database technologies.• I wrote customized Jenkins plug-ins and utilities to make it easy for our Jenkins users to perform a variety of repetitive jobs with ease to increase productivity. E.g. Jenkins schedulers that would trigger jobs on a required schedule and with the required criteria’s.• I was involved in regular Jenkins/plug-in upgrades and provided backup support for JIRA and Subversion administrative work as and when needed.• I was involved in migrating the old legacy tools Serena PVCS and Merant Tracker to Subversion and JIRA and Hudson to Jenkins.• I have led and managed the complete end-to-end release cycle for the Shield Advance project. • I have provided administrative and technical support for installation of software patches, provided trouble-shooting, performance tuning and failure analysis. From May 2009 to September 2014 (5 years 5 months) San Francisco Bay AreaLead Build and Release Engineer @ Sun Microsystems Responsibilities - As part of my duties as a lead build and release engineer I managed and contributed towards the software production release activities for a variety of Sun Microsystems software products namely NetBeans, Java Studio Editor, Java Studio Creator, Java Web Console.• I worked with the engineering teams to understand their build requirements, supported various platforms and created build PRDs (product requirement documents) to architect a complete build system for the developers to monitor their source code changes and for generating production build kits (Solaris Packages and Patches, Linux RPMs, Windows Executables) for milestone releases.• This included configuring build machines and developing build tools using PERL and Shell scripting languages, XML and JAVA. And maintaining and updating the build and testing infrastructure to accommodate the constant product changes.• I worked with the QA/QE teams to develop and maintain validation and sanity testing infrastructure. • Production activities involved working with the project manager to collect licensing information and other third-party data, working with the docs teams to get docs/tutorials/demos that make the final product bits to create deliverables for various SUN supported platforms.• It was essential for me to coordinate and communicate with my extended release engineering teams, which were located in Broomfield, CO. and Prague (Czech Republic).
