In a unique team such as that of Apple, it was important to be seen as an integral part of the way we bring people on-board by continuing to deliver specific high intensity training allowing team members to learn life-long skills through experiences in different areas of the business. Apple Retail is re-defining the space of how people shop, subsequently also the way they interact with the amazing technologies on offer with a strong team to educate and grow everyone's ownership experience. The Apple Retail Store is a chain of retail stores owned and operated by Apple Inc., dealing in computers and consumer electronics. The stores sell Macintosh personal computers, software, iPods, iPads, iPhones, third-party accessories, and other consumer electronics such as Apple TV. Many stores feature a Theatre for presentations and workshops and a Studio for training with Apple products; all stores offer a Genius Bar for technical support and repairs, as well as free workshops available to the public. Under the leadership of Ron Johnson, the former Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, the Apple Stores have been responsible for "turning the boring computer sales floor into a sleek playroom filled with gadgets". As of January 2012, Apple has opened 363 stores worldwide. From September 2011 to April 2014 (2 years 8 months) Digital Designer @ As part of an Internship with student body ARC at the Kensington campus of UNSW I undertook a creative and technical challenge to further my production skill-set. It has so far presented opportunities to experiment with various media technologies, theories and techniques to further my career. The required needs of the podcast radio service we provided asked me to capture live audio content, researching and providing base knowledge to culture the show as well as being responsible for design aspects of THE POD. From March 2011 to November 2011 (9 months) Projectionist @ I joined Event Cinemas just before my start of degree and grew from a general cinema worker, to Supervisor preceding over Gold Class, a premium luxury waiter-ed service, taking on more responsibilities I joined the Projection Team to facilitate corporate events and standard daily film shows and grow within the company before moving on to new a new challenge in retail with Apple Inc. Event Cinemas is a new concept in entertainment that will deliver the ultimate cinema experience to movie goers. 11 locations throughout Australia are being redeveloped and relaunched as state-of-the-art venues that offer customers a complete range of entertainment options. Event Cinemas will be an entertainment precinct that offers customers options on every level, including dining, bars and a variety of screening opportunities to not only see movies in 2D and 3D, but also live music, concerts, sporting matches and special events. Event Cinemas will boast the new Vmax cinema, the ultimate big screen experience delivering maximum impact, as well Australia’s favourite premium luxury cinema experience, Gold Class. The state-of-the-art venues will also deliver the ultimate cinema experience through a high level food and beverage experience: from bars with extensive wines by the glass and highly trained baristas in the purpose built café, to a brand new candy bar experience called Scoop Alley. Along with all new hot and cold menu items, the dining experience at Event Cinemas is far from being just about the popcorn. From June 2007 to August 2011 (4 years 3 months) Media Consultant @ I filmed and edited a documentary on the operation of “Meals on Wheels”, it’s impact and it’s usefulness to bring community together. It was to be used on the 150th birthday of Waverley Council. From May 2011 to July 2011 (3 months) Junior Marketing Liason @ I had the pleasure for working for an Environmental firm by the name of Total Environment Centre where I lead a team of similarly ambitious Video-graphers, animators and web developers to create a short film for exhibition purposes to re-tool their exposure to a younger generation. TEC is a hub - a resource and support base - for environmentalists working on a wide range of issues. With our years of experience in lobbying, campaigns, media and research, we have helped hundreds of community groups in their struggle to protect their local environment. We are fearless critics of government - local, state and federal - but we will also work constructively with governments and business for positive environmental outcomes. From April 2010 to September 2010 (6 months) Junior Marketer $7 Student Movie Inception and Rollout @ I was part of the team that brought about the very popular $8 Student Mondays rolling out initially to NSW, it go projected towards the national marketplace due to clever marketing and community word of mouth set in place by myself and the team. I was responsible for social network marketing and print media. We successfully moved a product that was originally state based outside of NSW to QLD and VIC markets for AHL's EVENT CINEMAS. This primarily involved utiltising Facebook and Twitter data to target select groups of university students to effect the change we as a group were looking for, which was making Monday nights moving towards the same level of Cheap tuesdays across most cinemas.
