As a student studying Security and Risk Analysis at the Pennsylvania State University, I am passionate about technology and incorporating it into the working environment. Some current topics that I find interesting include network security, app security and database programming. I previously interned at Highmark during the summer of 2013. There, I worked with software development lifecycles, methodologies and other programs including IBM's Rational Tools. My team focused on making the computer experience for internal employees easier and faster. I also assisted the Project Manager of the department with typical PM duties that needed to be completed for the department's projects. Following my internship at Highmark, I had the opportunity to work in the heart of cyber security at PNC Bank on their Computer Emergency Response Team. There, I had the opportunity to participate in cyber threat and intelligence collection and analysis. I also spent some of my time working offsite with different law enforcement agencies, peer financial institutions, and the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance. Through Penn State, I have completed multiple course projects. The first included presenting a Copyright Infringement Campaign to the student body. I worked with a team of five to develop a two hour on-campus learning presentation that explained what copyright infringement is, what could happen to you if you participate in copyright infringement and ways to avoid it. The second project involved planning a lecture about identity theft, and then presenting it to a local senior citizen center. The lecture explained how attackers can collect information, and ways to avoid it.
