BACKGROUNDAfter receiving her bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Virginia in 2007, Ashley moved to New York City to pursue a career in marketing. Ashley worked at several different companies during her six-month stint as a product manager at a start-up. After deciding that she didn’t enjoy marketing and wanted to move back to Virginia to finish her degree, Ashley founded HeavyWater, a software company that built artificial intelligence products.ARKIT PRODUCT LEADERSHIPAfter a two-year period as a product lead at Energage, Ashley returned to Virginia and took a position as a product manager at Microsoft’s role in the city of Philadelphia. She was responsible for developing and implementing mechanically intelligent products for a large customer base. She also worked with several other companies during her period at Microsoft, including IBM, General Electric, and McKinsey.At Energage, Ashley was responsible for building and managing user interfaces, design selection, customer development, marketing, and business development. She also supervised the development of the company’s largest products and conducted 50 customer development interviews to understand needs and features required for the products. Ashley also managedUX and design in the Lean/Agile development process.When Ashley moved to Washington, D.C. in 2014, she was the first employee at Pivvit, a next-generation e-commerce startup. She led product management, UX, design selection, customer development, market development, sales, and professional services implementations. Ashley also conducted 50 customer development interviews to understand needs and features required for the products.At Pivvit, Ashley was responsible for launching the product and managing the UX, design, development, and QA process in the Lean/Agile development process. She also developed and implemented marketing campaigns on behalf of clients. Ashley finished her degree in business administration in 2016 and started working at HeavyWater, a software company that builds artificial intelligence products, in September of that year.At HeavyWater, Ashley is responsible for building and managing product management, UX, design selection, customer development, market development, sales, and professional services implementations.
