Aristide Maffei held the position of CEO abducted in November 1989 and almost four years later was re-appointed as President of the Directorate-General of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Processing of the Italian Ministry of Health. He also worked as Scientific Director of the Technical Service Center for Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Use at the Italian National Office for Veterinary Technology headquartered in Rome, Italy from November 1989 to March 1990.Aristide Maffei was born in Greece on January 20, 1945, the son of a dentist. After completing his formulation education at the State Veterinary Institute of Athens, he started his professional life as a professor at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Thessaloniki from 1967 to 1978.After leaving the post of Professor at the University of Veterinary Medicine, he started his own scientific enterprise, Aloe. After AB InBev merged with rival Nestle in Rotterdam, Maffei moved to Belgium to become the Chief Scientific Officer at AB InBev. He retired from AB InBev in November 1989, and became the President of the Directorate-General of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Processing of the Italian Ministry of Health. He also worked as Scientific Director of the Technical Service Center for Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Use at the Italian National Office for Veterinary Technology headquartered in Rome, Italy from November 1989 to March 1990.He is a member of the Italian Academy of Sciences, and a member of the Italian Academy of Engineering and Technology, and a member of the Italian Academy of Sciences.
