Responsible for complete editorial direction of the site, writing regular news reports and features, commissioning articles and managing a small team. I was also integrally involved in selecting and delivering the Foundation’s projects in the UK and around the world, including helping to organise and run a training course for Tunisian journalists in Tunis in February 2012. From November 2011 to December 2012 (1 year 2 months) Assistant Editor, Online @ I worked alongside the editor-in-chief and deputy editor of The Sunday Times digital to oversee large editorial, production and design teams working on daily news, blogs and video reports for the website and tablet apps. I also developed the publication’s social media strategy, and swiftly built an audience of hundreds of thousands of followers across different accounts on Twitter and Facebook. I was centrally involved in all aspects of the Sunday Times online, with responsibility for the site’s community of paying customers. I worked closely with journalists on the paper and deputised for the senior editors. From July 2010 to December 2011 (1 year 6 months) Motoring & Men's Style Editor @ During my tenure at The Times, I worked in a range of senior roles, and was selected to be part of a small team who redesigned and relaunched the website. The team pioneered the move towards a payment model, negotiating the logistics of putting the site behind a paywall and working out best practices for promoting content to boost subscriptions. In its first year the site gathered over 130,000 subscribers. I was a senior editorial adviser for the launch of The Times iPad App - the highest-grossing news app in the UK. I also worked as Men’s and Motoring editor, producing original features and reporting on style and automotive news from around the world. Duties included commissioning, editing and writing news and feature stories for the website. While at The Times I also reported for the newspaper, contributed to the People column, wrote films and book reviews and features for the Travel supplement. From November 2006 to August 2010 (3 years 10 months) Editor @ I co-edited the Chaser Newspaper, Australia’s leading satirical publication. Duties included writing, editing and design for the paper and website.
