Research Assistant @ - Design and development of mutation calling pipeline using shell scripting.
- Transformation and processing terabytes of genome sequenced data on high performance computing cluster and cloud computing environment.
- Development and update of web interface for researchers. From February 2014 to Present (1 year 11 months) Sydney, AustraliaSoftware engineer @ - Design and development of open source clinical NLP(natural language processing) framework based on UIMA.
- Design and development of algorithms for various phenotypes using Python.
- Clinical data mining from structured and unstructured sources. The structured source is Oracle/Netezza databases and unstructured data is extracted from clinical notes (Electronic Medical Records) using NLP and machine learning techniques.
- Design and development of web interface that provides drug exposure information of patients to researchers. From February 2011 to October 2013 (2 years 9 months) Graduate Research Assistant @ - Worked on deployment optimization to maximize network uptime using hybrid algorithms (based on power consumption capacity of software components). Bin-packing algorithms and evolutionary algorithms are combined to form hybrid algorithms.
- Worked on fault tolerance in conveyor belt systems: Design of conveyor belt systems and fault tolerance using feedback control systems. The system is implemented using RTCORBA (Real Time CORBA) and ACE/TAO. From June 2010 to December 2010 (7 months) Graduate Teaching Assistant @ From August 2009 to December 2010 (1 year 5 months) Software Engineer @ - Worked with a team of 7 colleagues to develop Proof-of-concept (POC) for Online Charging Front End (OCFE) application that provides online Charging capability for IMS (IP Multimedia Sub-system) and non-IMS based Event charging. The POC was developed in collaboration with jNetx company, Russia for using its Service Delivery Platform.
- Worked with a team of 6 colleagues to develop POC for SMS Auto reply and SMS forwarding applications on jNetX Service Delivery Platform.
- Worked with a team of 7 colleagues to migrate Telstra OSP 2.3 project to OSP 2.4 platform for Alcatel client in Australia. The applications IN(Intelligent Network)-Smart and IN-Control were delivered as part of OSP2.3 to OSP2.4 platform migration of the GIP (Generic Inbound Product) Service. From July 2006 to March 2008 (1 year 9 months) Software Intern @ Worked with a team of 5 colleagues to develop Value Added Tax Information System (VATIS) software delivered to Government of Gujarat state, India. The software system intended to connect various tax offices of Gujarat and automated the system of taxes. Developed Statutory Form Control System (SCFS) module of VATIS, to automate the control of different tax forms among various sales tax offices of Gujarat. From January 2006 to April 2006 (4 months)
