💼 Past Experience

Anoush Najarian:I am currently a Software Engineer, at MathWorks in Natick, MA. I love solving performance puzzles and helping my team grow and achieve professional goals. I also love learning and teaching, and collaborating on amazing software tools for engineers and scientists. I am also a Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors at Computer Measurement Group (CMG). In my previous work experiences, I have been a Software Architect, at AlgorithmAuthoring at Houghton Mifflin from August 2004 to March 2008 (3 years 8 months). I also managed a team of software developers and mathematicians working in a Scrum environment. This past year, I also worked as a Product Manager and Architect for Maple Authoring Environment, a Maple, PHP, and Java-based tool for authoring algorithmic questions for HM's online Math courses. I am also the author of software requirements and design specifications, as well as a Technical Lead working in collaboration with HM Math Editorial and Media Production. I have also been a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from September 1995 to July 2001 (5 years 11 months) in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Area. In my previous work experiences, I have taught Mathematics for Educators, Discrete Math, Calculus I, II, III, Calculus and Mathematica, and Harvard Calculus (small-groups course using graphing calculators). I also have proof-read a monograph on several complex variables. My current research interest is in implementing numerical algorithms using MATLAB. I am also a Guest lecturer in Computer Networks at Yerevan State University from September 2002 to June 2003 (10 months).

Anoush Najarian is a non-degree graduate of the economics program at University of Missouri-Columbia, with a degree in 4.0 from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2006. Najarian then earned a bachelor's degree in Computational Mathematics and Computer Science from Yerevan State University in 2009. Finally, he earned a master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014.Anoush Najarian is currently a Master's student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, attending the Master's in Computer Science program. Najarian has worked as a research associate and software engineer at Google since December 2014. Najarian will be taking a leave of absence in September to commence his study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
