From January 2013 to February 2013 (2 months) Army Research Lab, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Aberdeen, MarylandSr Software Engineer @ Capital One Card & Small Business Mclean, VASr Software Engineer / Architect @ Bridgestone BASys Fleet Analyzer Web & Mobile Applications allow Bridgestone’s dealers to collects tire data through inspection of their commercial fleet customer vehicles, and provides immediate access to detailed reports on the performance and condition of their tires. This enables data driven decision making from a reliable data set for reduced costs and improved profitability.Web:► Planned, designed and implemented a highly-extensible web-application architecture for a tire retread system that combines a rich and modular JavaScript (JS) front-end built using the Dojo Toolkit, with a python backend that utilizes the Django Web Framework. ► Implemented an end-to-end workflow, aided by generic views and well defined patterns that greatly simplified development, reduced implementation effort and optimized timelines.► Designed and implemented a fine grained authentication and role-based authorization (permission) system that is flexible and easily adapts to changing business requirements.► Implemented a URL hash change based page routing when traversing a single page web application to provide visual confirmation of traversal and the ability to bookmark application states (pages).► Significantly enhanced dgrid, an open source data grid component, by adding the ability to paginate, sort, search and filter the grid when using specialized REST backed object stores. Additionally, implemented UI features such as drag and drop, double tap to edit, flick to scroll and using arrow keys for cell navigation.Mobile (Xamarin-iOS):► Designed and developed an extensible cross platform mobile application using the Xamarin Platform.► Developed a generic and target platform independent framework for common operations like CRUD, REST, Bluetooth LE, credential management, settings management and camera capture.► Implemented an enhanced Object Relational Mapper (ORM) based on the open source SQLite-Net library to greatly simplify SQLite database interactions From April 2013 to April 2018 (5 years 1 month) Hanover, MDProject Technical Lead (Software Developer II) @ Engility formerly Dynamics Research Corporation Scalable Multi-Tier Architecture for Research Tools (SMART) was a web based Platform as a Service (PaaS) system that provided easy access to computational research tools, especially those that require High-Performance Computing (HPC). It focused on problem solving and not the complex tasks associated with managing clusters, marshaling resources and coordinating the interactions between parallel computing, data management and presentation.► Utilized an asynchronous task queue execution mechanism based on distributed message passing that executes tasks concurrently on a one or more worker servers using multiprocessing, and extended it to support batch execution of dependent task trees in order, with routing and tracking.► Developed a secure (Smartcard-SSL verified) web authentication mechanism to allow a logged-in user to execute tasks as a Linux user with its corresponding system permissions.► Implemented communication interfaces that complied with the Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements for communicating between the three compute tiers of the SMART multi-tier architecture.► Developed a python wrapper module to efficiently interact with large hierarchical datasets stored in the high density HDF5 based database files.► Developed an extensible Big Data visualization library based on HTML5 canvas to enable interactive visual analysis of extremely large amounts of data using a web browser.► Wrote JavaScript wrapper libraries to simplify interactions with HTML5 APIs like IndexedDB and Web Workers.► Developed a Network Visualization application that employs a distributed divide-and-conquer strategy to playback network (topology and traffic) scenarios stored in NetDMF files. From August 2010 to December 2012 (2 years 5 months) Army Research Lab, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Aberdeen, MarylandFounder @ IservWorldwide ► Configured and managed Windows Server 2003, Debian and RedHat based dedicated / virtual servers. ► Provided LAMP based web hosting and Windows Media Services (WMS) based video hosting services. ► Designed and developed dynamic websites, including content management systems (CMS), using Web 2.0 technologies such as CSS3 and JQuery► Maintained regular data and database backups. Ensured availability of customer data at all times► Provided end user and client support From March 2006 to August 2010 (4 years 6 months) Montgomery Village, MD
