July 2011 - October 2012 Internal HR Manager From July 2011 to Present (4 years 4 months) Waukesha, WIOperations Manager @ Lead and implemented the conversion of the chapter payroll system, as well as, the movement to an Online Performance Management (SuccesFactors) system. Researched and implemented new telephone system for cost savings ($8K) and to create efficiencies within the office. Worked directly with board members to revise the employee handbook ensuring the Chapter meets federal state and Society policies. Broadened the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) by: orienting new hires to the system and the required online courses, working with managers to create LMS learning plans for their employee’s development; and working with the Staff Development Specialist to create a guest account so that the interns and temporary employees could utilize the LMS system. Coached supervisors thru dealing with direct reports and performance issues, also ensuring that all disciplinary actions taken are valid and documented. Responsible for all day to day HR activities including payroll, recruiting, benefits management, legal compliance and performance management. Selected to be on a National work group to create a National Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan. Provided supervision of daily activities for the office receptionist. Bid and negotiated new office cleaning contract that resulted in $2,200 in annual savings. From 2007 to 2011 (4 years) Hartland, WISr. Human Resource Specialist @ Worked with senior leadership on the acquisition and transition of 3 additional offices and 30 new employees. Created, implemented and maintained the company’s first wellness program which included health risk assessments, a walking program, onsite flu shots, incentives and lunch n’ learns. Determined and recommended employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote employee morale. Supervised, developed and mentored a team of 4 administrative assistants that supported entire office. All 4 have been successful in their roles and have been promoted within the organization. Oversaw the administration of Workers Compensation including filing all claims, review of claim activity for trends, identification of training opportunities and working with third party vendor to reach a decision with minimal cost impact for the company.
