💼 Past Experience

Prior to joining Google, Andrew worked at Facebook, where he was a Research Scientist working on a large open-source project called Focused Insight. He also worked at The Laboratory at UC Berkeley, where he was a research scientist working on the atmo-server project. This latter project is currently in freeze, but is still under active development. Additionally, he has also done outreach work for several years, both at Google and other organizations.Andrew's qualifications for the position of Developer Relations Engineer, Ethical AI, at Google are: “ Four years of experience working in a technical product area, or very close to it.”.Andrew has worked extensively with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science within the past two years. Prior to joining Google, main work experience that Andrew has had in his professional field is as a Senior Developer Relations Engineer at ethical AI company, Ethical AI. Here, he was responsible for building a team of engineers and managing the company's relationship with customers and partners. He has also worked as a Research Scientist at Google Research division, which has included developing algorithms and machine learning algorithms for a variety of purposes, including exploring new opportunities in information retrieval and natural language processing. In addition to his work as a Developer Relations Engineer, he has also worked as a Laboratory Scientist at Google Research division and has spoken at conferences and meetings on a variety of aspects of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Andrew is currentlybased in the San Francisco Bay Area.
