Product Manager @ From April 2015 to Present (7 months) Managing Partner @ Timepiece Publishing manages the music catalog of Stephen Paulus (www.stephenpaulus.com), a Grammy nominated classical composer who wrote more than 600 works for choir, opera, orchestra, and band. Notable pieces include the choral works Pilgrims' Hymn (performed at the funerals of Presidents Ford and Reagan) The Road Home, the opera The Postman Always Rings Twice, and a jazz concerto co-written with his older son Greg, titled Timepiece.
At Timepiece Publishing I am responsible for all aspects of running the business across licensing, royalties, digital sales and promotion. Since taking over I transitioned the business to a new website, repriced the catalog, partnered with a distributor to handle paper and rental orders, and actively promote the music catalog. This has resulted in increasing revenue 33%, reducing expenses 86%, a Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Contemporary Classical Composition, and 195% growth in social media likes/follows. From July 2013 to Present (2 years 4 months) VP of Product @ Responsible for the product development of Basno's digital badge and credential platform. When I joined our first project was to transition from numerous highly customized sites built for 3rd-party organizations to create one standardized, scalable, and responsive platform. We next built industry leading badge design and creation software, and a full suite of pro and premium organization tools. Some of these include analytics, dynamic badge customization, and advanced distribution and verification tools.
Basno's credentialing software is now used by organizations like NYU's School of Continuing Studies, The Fulbright Program, CFA Institute, NY Marathon, Boston Athletic Association (Boston Marathon), Tough Mudder, Rock N' Roll Marathon Series and thousands of others. Organizations have issued more than 10 million credentials on Basno and thousands of people share stories about what their recognitions mean to them on Basno every day. From May 2013 to January 2015 (1 year 9 months) Greater New York City AreaProduct & UI Design @ Responsible for the product development and user experience of Blocksign, a blockchain service for signing documents and agreements online. We launched an MVP in August 2014, getting buy-in from the bitcoin developer community and receiving positive press from The New York Times, VentureBeat, BetaBeat, CoinDesk, Coin Telegraph and many others.
