Maintained existing SCSI command and error handling tests for previous and current generation of storage bridges. Manually tested product error handling by using Catalyst’s Crossfire SATA error injector.Software Engineer Intern at Emulex from June 2008 to September 2008 (4 months). Developed, enhanced and supported in-house automated test framework for validating Emulex’s SR-1216 Fibre Channel to SATA storage router and BR-2401 Fibre Channel to SATA Bridge. Development in the test framework consisted of Java, C++ and Linux Shell Scripts. Tests included SCSI Command validation (Mode Sense/Select, Log Sense/Select, Read/Writes, Read/Write Buffer, Send/Receive Diagnostic, etc…) and error validation (Buffer under/overrun, check conditions, etc…). Coordinated with Firmware engineers on new feature validation coverage, test holes and automating manual tests. Reproduced customer issues and wrote test cases to cover gaps. Validated reference designs using automated test suite and captured Fibre Channel and/or SATA traces using Finisar and/or Lecroy Analyzers to include with technical bug reports. Test Engineer at Emulex from June 2004 to January 2008 (3 years 8 months). Managed and tracked performance on Emulex’s SR-1216 Fibre Channel to SATA storage router and BR-2401 Fibre Channel to SATA Bridge. Using IOMeter and in-house performance tools coordinated performance testing with FW releases across multiple disk configurations. Created test plans for new features and validation gaps. Performed automated and manual tests on reference designs and customer specific
