I am a Senior at Tufts University and I seek a career in Software Development upon graduation by May 2015. I'd like to leverage the knowledge I have gained in Software and Web Development while at Tufts to contribute to a Company that is doing tangible work to make the lives of others easier. I am passionate about writing clean, secure code, and greatly wish to be able to make a positive difference in the world with the skills I have learned.
In school, while getting a strong grounding in the fundamentals of Computer Science, I have taken interesting electives in Computer Security, Data Visualization, and Web Engineering. Often, my classwork has involved working on large semester length projects in small teams, which I believe has given me the software and leadership experience needed to thrive in the workforce.
For the past few years, I have served as an in house web developer for the Tufts Institute for Global Leadership, an on campus organization designed to help develop future "effective and ethical" leaders to tackle the world's most pressing problems of tomorrow. Throughout the course of my position, I have assisted the organization in implementing new features into their website, and worked to increase the efficiency and limit the downtime of the site.
