Especially during initiatives and events, excellent collaboration, effective decision making and communication are key to execute with excellence and ultimately win in the marketplace. An example of this was the Petcare business divestiture (IAMS, EUKANUBA): my role was to manage and overview the successful logistical transition between DC’s and production plants whilst ensuring availability on shelf throughout and until handover to Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc.
As part of the role I engaged actively in the end-to-end transition including standardisation, improvement and creation of processes aiming at successfully deploying the new organisational setup to leverage the local Market organisation and the centralised Planning Service center to improve the supply chain performance and reduce complexity. From October 2014 to June 2015 (9 months) O2 Engineer @ Optimised Operations Engineer between the sites of Newton Aycliffe and Atherstone: my role is to continuously improve and optimise manufacturing processes ensuring the successful completion of cost saving, quality and productivity improvement projects within the Personal Safety Division, Abrasive Systems Division and Automotive Aftermarket Division.
Using DMAIC, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies in this role is key for delivering fast and sustainable results both for existing process improvements and New Product Introduction.
This role requires a good business understanding whilst maintaining technology at its core. Examples of this include introduction of Injection Moulding equipment, Automation. My responsibilities ranged from improving process capabilities to collaborate with quality, marketing, suppliers and business unit through statistical analysis, simulation, project management, CAPEX. From September 2013 to October 2014 (1 year 2 months) Lean Six Sigma Consultant @ I managed and led various projects applying Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to improve Operations and Supply Chain Management for various companies including Ducati Motor Holding SPA, BVLGARI, Landi Renzo SPA.
